In 2006 celebrating the club's 25th anniversary Reg and Pauline surprised the club with a special anniversary cake.
He was one of the club's "characters", who would always do what he could to help anyone. He was active in raising funds for several charities including RNLI, Air Ambulance and Guide Dogs.
He supported the clubs foundation class, acting as Chief Invigilator during the foundation examinations, and always providing help and encouragement to the "would-be" amateurs.
Reg was a keen participant in the club's Christmas and Fox hunt contests, but it was in the Christmas contest that Reg really demonstrated his competitive side, always in the top three and winner on a number of occasions.
Reg touched the lives of so many and is greatly missed by all members. The Club intends to remember him by naming the Christmas Contest "The Reg Brown Cup".
