"Wythall Radio Club are proud to use Heil headsets, Hi-mound Paddle keys, Old PCs and Carlsberg Beer during their activities."

The club has a 60 foot Versatower on site, with the antennas for HF, 6m, 2m, and 70cms permanently mounted. For 4m / 23cms operation we normally put up a separate mast. There is also a Comet tri-band (6m, 2m, 70cms) vertical antenna mounted on the chimney which provides excellent signals to local stations on FM.

Wythall Radio Club use Super Duper logging software on HF and VHF. Although this software does not offer network or packetcluster support, it has proved an excellent logger for new operators to come to terms with. It's support for the RSGB VHF contests and the multipliers is also second to none.

Wythall Contest Group enters the majority of it's contests from it's basement shack at the Wythall Community Centre. However, we make an annual expedition to Wythall Park for VHF National Field Day, and undertake several other VHF contests from portable sites around the country.
